HCL Info bags Rs.100 Cr African deal
HCL Infosystems has won its first systems integration deal worth Rs 100 crore ($23 million) in Africa. The project, to be executed in two phases, plans to connect 53 African nations for tele-education and tele-medicine services. With this deal, the company plans to increase its business from the African region and has already tied up with local partners. The first phase of the plan will be rolled out in three months and will cover 15 African nations such as Botswana, Nigeria and Ethiopia. The second phase, to be rolled out in the next 18-20 months, will cover the rest 38 countries. The deal is a part of the Indian initiative to share its expertise in education and medicine Thursday,26th June 2008
